Guest Blog: Finding the Cure to Your Adult Acne

A Holistic Approach

As a woman in her early 40s, I’ve had to deal with acne beyond the occasional hormonal-based, flare-up. It all started in my late 30s. My persistent acne was triggered after a severe case of anemia and the birth control pills prescribed by my doctor. In any case, my skin went berserk!

Holistic Approach Guest Blog: Finding the Cure to Your Adult Acne

I spent years trying to get it back under control, through purchasing the most expensive, and also the most natural skin care lines I could find. I also received treatments from estheticians, including peels, which didn’t help much in controlling the breakouts nor fading the dark spots left behind. Nothing worked!

It wasn’t until I stumbled across several holistic approaches in late 2011, that I began to repair the years of breakouts and scarring that my skin went through. In addition to avoiding dairy products and gluten as much as possible, I developed a system that is working wonders for my skin. And, while my skin isn’t perfect (yet), I’m on my way to having flawless skin through my approach to skin care.

The Cookie Crumb Trail to My Spiritual Awakening

The Cookie Crumb Trail to My Spiritual Awakening

Today marks a day of completion in so many different areas of my life, work and environment. Many of you know I always refer to Life, Work and Environment when living a holistic lifestyle. Often times we operate as if our Life and our Work are separate and we never talk about our Environment.  As for me, I believe we are all human beings, who have a deep desire to express ourselves in those three areas, remove one of the areas and you have a deficiency in the others.

Let’s Begin following the Cookie Crumb Trail…

It all starts in October 2011, I attended an event in Tucson, Arizona it was an amazing event filled with new relationships and new opportunities.  This journey began with my meeting a woman who offered to give me a Hand Analysis, which of course I immediately thought of Palm Reading. She immediately said to me,as if she was reading my mind, “This is not a Palm Reading I am talking about”.  I agreed to have the Hand Analysis, what she shared about who I was and what I was called to do, brought me to tears.  It was as if she was sent as a messenger from GOD.  She shared things about me that no one could have known, I mean no one would know, because these things were about how I felt about certain things, which reflected in how I chose to be.  Can I say powerful! This was the beginning of me following the crumbles on the cookie crumb trail!
